Dear friends

It will be desirable on my part to see a discussion around the possibility of introducing the global curriculum developed by telecentre.org Academy in Europe to cater to the learning needs of telecentre operators there. Wonder if the Summit will be the best place to discuss this. Please advise.

During the Telecentre-Europe Summit in Istambul 2009, we will present to our members thematic resources with five themes: Employability, Sustainability, Capacity Building, Citizenship and Accessibility.

Presenting development of Global Curriculum by telecentre.org Academy, for example as a part of Capacity Building work package, for sure will be highly appreciated!

This theme will be develop by UK Online Centres (Ian Clifford) and Likta (Mara Jakobsone).

Sure, that is the point about the global group of 15 academies coming together in Singapore in June 2009. They have developed and have agreed upon introducing a customised set of material (from the pre-existing resources) as a global course on telecentre management. They are meeting on 17-18 August 2009 to develop the global consortium for introducing the courseware in about 20 nations in about 10 languages through eLearning. Trust their effort will help to circumvent challenges if any in Europe.

Thanks, Ian,

Shaddy

This is great news Shaddy! We are looking forward to hear more about the global course. We do want to contribute with an European perspective to this effort.
Best,
Laurentiu
