There will be a number of benefits of formally joining telecentre-europe. Many of these benefits are in development and will be launched in the coming months:
Networking
A professional community network (with online and face-to-face meetings) - including an online calendar of relevant activities and events
Knowledge Sharing
• Facilitate/Broker the sharing between members of products, knowledge, expertise
• A telecentre and telecentre network directory
Advocacy
• Inward investment broker service : bardware and software donations, ICT product testing, training, student volunteer placement
• A channel to services/products from stakeholders or partners: libraries and resources, telecentre academy, funding/award opportunities screening service
Capacity Building
• Capacity building consultancy - through a ‘buddy brokerage’ or peer assistance
• Use of telecentre-europe brand
• A translation broker service for products and curriculum - through a ‘buddy brokerage’ or peer assistance
Other products or services may be developed or added in time.
