What we do as an organization (100-word description)
Civitas Foundation stimulate local and regional development, the main reasons for setting up the foundation was the need to increase the capacity of public administration and to stimulate citizen involvement in decision making and local governance.
During the years Civitas Foundation ran successful programs targeted to community development in rural areas, aimed at improving the capacity of public administration in these areas to manage the changes imposed by the process of integration into the European Union, and preparing citizens ( courses, trainings, information sessions and awareness sessions). Foundation has thus proposed to be involved in community development, fulfilling the role of catalyst from this perspective, Civitas Foundation wants to be a partner in change and a colleague in development process of rural communities.

What ICT or e-Skill training programs does your organization offer?
Through the telecenters which Civitas coordinates during the time were organized:
• IT course using UP curricula,
• Microsoft Project courses,
• accounting courses,
• courses for Romanian framers in order to learn to use the computer and fill in the
forms which are required in order to receive European funds for their products and activities,
• web designs courses for people who own or work in hostel and want to create web
pages,
• Entrepreneurship courses for young people in order to learn how to establish their own
business.

Related to our projects we organize different types of courses such as project management, PR and communication.
