What we do as an organization (100-word description)
Esplai Foundation is a non-governmental non-profit organization that seeks to produce and facilitate resources and services for associations and grassroot organizations to enhance their development and network capacity . Esplai's mission is to strengthen and engage the social sector into value education, by developing actions and projects and by establishing alliances inside the sector, with government organizations and with other social actors.
My function in the organization
Many things
Other services and activities:
e-inclusión projects
- Red Conecta: Digital literacy for groups at risk of social exclusion
- Conecta Joven: Young people become leaders in teaching adults and the elderly digital literacy
Target groups
- Young people
- Unemployed
- People with social insertion difficulties
- Women
How we contribute to the network
Best practices/Success stories
Other ways of contributing to the network (please describe):
Manage the project Telecentre 2.0.
Vary the "key to access" ITCs, moving from teaching digital literacy to meeting the interests and needs of people.
Use digital literacy teaching as excuse and not as an end in itself.
Create a Resource Centre to teach literacy and more specifically digital literacy for all.
Scale up the project Conecta Now in Europe, particularly in new member states of the European Union and in those countries involved in the "enlargement“ phase.

Do you listen to the music?

For sure, everybody is saying it to me...
As said my mother: "My child, you have to read the rules before to do something"... ;-)
I hope she will not see that... :-)
