What we do as an organization (100-word description)
NIOK was founded by the Nonprofit Research Association in 1993 to strenghten civil society in Hungary by setting up a network to support the activities of Hungarian NGOs. NIOK designs programmes to improve the work of organisations, making them more effective. NIOK is an independant foundation, classified as a prominently public benefit organisation according to Hungarian NGO law.

What ICT or e-Skill training programs does your organization offer?
In the frame of a 3 year program called "e-civil" and sponsored by Microsoft Unlimited Potential program created a special curriculum for Ngo's.
The curriculum, which embraces all elements of CSO's work, with elements for CSOs dealing with disadvantaged groups to be able to transmit the gained skill and multiply it in the communities.
It has four main parts:
1. ICT for beginners
2. ICT for intermediates
3. Labor market knowledge
4. Methodology of knowledge transfer
What other training services does your organization provides?
We provide other trainings to the Ngo's called:
- Welcome in the sector!- This training give help in the first steps to become an effectively working civil society organisation.
- We also manage Organisational Development program, and organising consultancy in legal and financial topics.
