What we do as an organization (100-word description)
1. To support the development of a harmonized knowledge and information society; by this to stimulate economic growth and human resources development.
2. Extend public access point’s network to the remote regions of Lithuania and establish conditions for all the people to use information and communication technologies and through the ICT accessible sources.
3. Motivate and promote people to use e-services
4. Bridging the digital divide between rurals and city habitants.
Other services and activities:
Project Development of Rural Internet Access Points Network activities:

Extend Rural Internet Access Point’s Network to the remote regions of Lithuania and establish conditions for all the people to use information and communication technologies;
Integrate the created Network to one administration system.

RIAPs Association activities:

Represent RIAPs interests in governmental, business and international level;
Coordinate activities of association members;
Provide support for local RIAPs (training, technical assistance, consultations and etc.);
Promote new initiatives and ideas in information technology development in rural areas.
Target groups
People who live in rural areas.
Other partners:
1. Ministry of Interiors;
2. Ministry of Social Security and Labour;
3. Kaunas Technology University;
4. State Tax Inspectorate.

Building Partnership through Networks

A midnight scene of vibrant, lively streets was my first encountering with Gijon and it said it all: I had come to a city with non-stop celebration of life where citizens spend much of their time in numerous splendid open cafes and restaurants. This authentic leasure-luring environment almost made me think I was the only visitor who had come there for work purposes.
