What we do as an organization (100-word description)
In 2005 he learned that the ICTA had launched an initiative to create privately-run Nanasalas or Rural Knowledge Centers in economically backward areas. He applied and in April 2005 the Koslanda Nanasala opened its doors to villagers, most of whom had never seen a computer.

What ICT or e-Skill training programs does your organization offer?
In 2005-6 Srikanthan worked among poor plantation families as field coordinator for Isuru Micro-Finance Poverty Reduction Project, capacity building for 19 groups of five families each with Uva Development Bank and Central Bank of Badulla Region. Since 2006 he has worked tirelessly on behalf of handicapped families in the Hill Country as:
1. Founder and Chairman of the Hill Country Disability Group, that leverages ICT to break the vicious cycle of physical isolation, social stigma, and educational & economic handicap affecting rural families living with disabilities (www.hcdg.org);
2. Sri Lanka Children’s Trust (www.slctrust.org) Board member for Badulla District;
3. Proprietor of BeePeeO Data Solutions (Pvt) Ltd employing 35 rural youths, women and handicapped for contract work outsourced from New Zealand (www.beepeeo.com);
4. Coordinator of the Telegenetics Project jointly undertaken by the ICTA, Koslanda Nanasala, and the Human Genetics Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, that uses ICT to facilitate remote diagnosis of genetic disorders among families in remote rural areas.
