What we do as an organization (100-word description)
Within Computerwijk local volunteers teach their neighbours computer skills to prevent and overcome social isolation and enhance their possibilities in education, finding a job, personal development, participation in society and entrepreneurship.
Computerwijk started in 2003 and today more than 3000 local residents have been trained by 80 volunteer trainers. At the moment we have a network of 20 telecentres in Amsterdam and plan to extend our activities to other cities.
