Some of you might recognize my avatar!
Two and a half years have past since I was facilitating the telecentre-europe community from Fundación Esplai and here I am again: still in Barcelona, and very excited about my new part-time job as the Communications Manager of Telecentre-Europe AISBL!
What can you expect from me?
- facilitation on the publishing and presenting of content that could be of great interest to you and the community
- help in making the online communication around this community as effective and useful as possible
- a lot of "personalized" guidance on the use of all the Social Media involved: our ning site (everybody involved should be a member), our Facebook page (don't tell me you haven't "liked" the page yet!), our Twitter account (just click on "follow"), our Youtube channel, ... and Ian even started a group at LinkedIn.
- a lot more that I haven't yet figured out
What's first?
- you will soon receive a brand new Newsletter made by Freddy, the icon of one of web 2.0's best email marketing program: MailChimp (check some reviews: 1, 2, 3,...)
- we will change the server and - who knows - even the Content Management System of www.telecentre-europe.org, just to make you even more proud about being part of its community.
What else?
Tell me what YOU think would be useful to you. This is your chance! Right here under her blogpost, tell your community manager what she should manage on this community!

Comment by Rodrigo Zardoya on May 16, 2011 at 17:51 Hi Lize.
Welcome to your new professional challenge. Last friday, in the Experts meeting about the future of Telecentres in Barcelona, we haven't had the chance to talk... I hope to meet you again soon.
Best regards,
Rodrigo

Comment by Lize De Clercq on May 4, 2011 at 12:07 Thanks to all of you for your congratulations and very valuable feedback!
Stéphanie: I fully agree on the "platormitis" of too much "web 2.0-ism" - I will INMEDIATELY research the possibilities of Facebook & Twitter integration into ning, so members can use the same logins on different platforms
Richard (& Stéphanie): In the early days we had no resource centre (now we seem to have a moodle), so the forum feature of this ningsite was "hacked" for this reason. Now that I read all this "eager" to discuss items online, you can bet I will give you the forum back!
Gabi: Social Media is so HOT today you simply will get swallowed by it. Just like email was a decade ago;)
Pawel: two years and a half is a long time for fast moving technology but not enough to change personalities - here I am: still the same!
hugs to all of you and hoping to meet all of you in person soon!

Comment by Gabi Barna on May 3, 2011 at 10:33 Thanks a lot for the post Lize. It is sure good to have you back and working together. I remember the time when we first worked together and you encouraged me (against my constant complaining) to try new social media stuff out. I am still email dependent, but looking forward to more encouragement to properly jump into the web 2.0 wave. Good luck with all the work! There sure is loads to do!
