Day 5 started with a morning meeting. Yvonne Garcia-Flores from Intel was very kind to accept Tess’s invitation to meet me and talk about how Intel is involved in PhilCecNet.
Intel chairs the committee on infrastructure, as part of the PhilCecNet’s executive council. What they do is to facilitate infrastructure solutions for eCentres, by connecting with various Telecommunications providers, identified as potential stakeholders of eCentres.
PhilCecNet also benefits of financial support from Intel, based on certain needs and actions.
As follow-up, after hearing more about Telecentre-Europe, Yvonne will facilitate a first contact with Intel Europe, considering a potential future collaboration.
After the meeting, Cheryl and I had a debriefing session, where we have talked about learnings, outcomes and ideas for a partnership between PhilCecNet and Telecentre-Europe.
All these will be detailed in a full report of the study visit and tailored into an article that will be featured on telecentre.org, telecentre-europe.org and philcecnet.ph .
