telecentre-europe

Yesterday was a very intensive day, with really good and inspiring sessions.

Akhtar Badshah (Senior director, Community affairs, Microsoft), Richard Fuchs (IDRC director) and Paul Timmers (Head of eInclusion EC) started with the welcome conferences, providing the audience with a really wide and experienced approach and vision of the whole telecentre world and ICT services.

Accessibility, Employability and Citizenship workstreams runned as planned, and we could collect valuable contributions and inputs from the participants.

After lunch (Turkish dishes are great) we could learn a lot from the Euro Café presentations. As Burcu posted before, they were really interesting and people from the audience contributed and asked a lot.

The last session was about projects and tools that telecentre-europe has been developing during the last months. We started with news from the Exchange visits because a second round of calls is opened. We want to encourage members to apply (applications are really simple) and can provide good experiences for all participants and organisations involved. Afterwards we presented the Thematic resources repository and the directory as tools designed for telecentre-europe members' benefit.

After the work done, we could enjoy a great dinner on a boat trip to the Bosphorus. From here we want to thank the turkish team for such an amazing experience...

We would like to remind you that all the summit's presentations will be posted on ning, with conclusions and ideas, so you will be able to download them soon and be updated with all we have shared.
